 Starting rate: $18/hr

 

Basic Qualifications:

  • Minimum Requirements:
    • Must be an undergraduate student in the 24-25 Academic Year
    • Work Study award preferred in the upcoming Academic Year
    • Must attend weekly meeting
      • Day/Time TBD
    • Must complete asynchronous training
      • For Fall 2024: Saturday, September 21-Sunday, September 22
    • Must attend an all-day training 
      • For Fall 2024: Sunday, September 22

  • Preferred Requirements:
    • Need to be in good academic standing
    • Strong organizational skills, ability to prioritize, and comfortable working collaboratively and independently
    • Great written and verbal communication skills
    • Knowledge of Google Suite tools, Zoom, and Slack
      • Canva and/or Asana are a plus

 

Expectations:

  • Work 8-13 hrs/week
  • Orient students to the programs and services offered by Learning Support Services
  • Assist with preparation for tutor training activities

  • Assist students with accessing LSS services including sign-ups

  • Complete a minimum of 2-3 tabling outreach event(s) each quarter

  • Manage scheduling and approving tutoring sessions

  • Administrative tasks include: filing, data entering and tracking, answering the phone, replying to emails, front desk via Zoom and in-person

  • Maintain LSS tutoring spaces
    • includes light cleaning, rearranging furniture, replenishing supplies, and cleaning whiteboards

Modality:

All shifts will be in person during business hours Monday-Friday 8A-6P, reduced hours on Sundays

Location:

SOAs are responsible for maintaing and welcoming students into spaces in the ARCenter, STEM Hub (Science and Engineering Library), and Oakes Learning Center
