Partnering with Learning Support Services (LSS)

Welcome to Learning Support Services (LSS)! Whether you're a new faculty partner or one who has partnered with us before, we look forward to collaborating with you. Our team is committed to providing inclusive tutoring sessions facilitated by undergraduate student leaders to build a strong foundation for success for your students.

Our programs are CRLA Level 1 Certified and our SI program is accredited by the International Center for Supplemental Instruction. Our tutors and SI leaders are hired, trained, and evaluated on a quarterly basis.

Here are 4 ways you can partner with LSS:

1. Recommend
   1. Encourage students to use LSS services early AND on a re-occuring basis!
   2. Add a slide about LSS during the start or end of lectures using one of our templates
   3. Add your LSS tutor's names to the syllabus
2. Connect
   1. Invite LSS Staff to attend events or meetings to explore areas of collaboration
3. Feedback
   1. Connect with our staff with feedback on courses you recommend our office to support. You can either directly email the LSS staff or use our general office email to reach us.
   2. Share feedback around your course's support with our team
4. Refer
   1. Refer students to apply to become tutors, coaches, or office assistants. Learn more about our hiring qualifications and dates here.

Resources for Faculty

• Use one of our Google Slide templates to insert into your lecture's Google Slide or Powerpoint Slide decks. There is a slide per program depending on the type of support in your course.
• Our Quarterly Availability Form - Share this with your students if they're unable to find a spot in LSS sessions. Our office will connect with the student to find available services.
• Explore LSS Programs here. We offer various types of support depending on factors such as course enrollment and historical utilization.

    • Peer Success Coaching
    • Successful Slug Workshops
• TutorHub is the platform we use to post and schedule all LSS sessions. Students may sign up for sessions beginning Friday of Week 1 at 12PM.
